Through the book Mr Acuff talks various behaviors unique to Christians and why it makes them feel good- while pointing out the funny irony of them.
The author does an excellent job of pointing out the humorous and sometimes downright bizzare habbits within Chrstian culture. The good thing is this is accomplished without being disrespectful or offensive. It is definately an inside joke. Only someone familiar with the nuances of modern Christian life can fully appreciate the book's humor. For example, the author does a passage on "the seven people you meet in a prayer group." His apt description of this peculiar behavior is indeed right on and hillarious..however only to those how have experienced it.
